Germany is a federal parliamentary republic of sixteen states.

Germany's chancellor and leader is Angela Merkel. Berlin is the countries' capital and Germany's largest city. Germany is a member of the United Nations, NATO, the G8 and G4 nations and the Kyoto Protocol. It joined the Group of Eight in 1974. Germany has the world's third largest economy by nominal GDP. In 2007, Germany was the largest in exporting goods and Germany has the second largest annual budget development in the world. Moreover, Germany is highly developed among science and technology.
Germany is also recognized for its developments of high standard of living and established a comprehensive system of social security.

Endangered Species

One of Germany’s 7000 endangered species is the common rabbit. They are endangered because streets and roads limited habitats, rabbits need 125 acres of lands to survive. they have limited land so they actually have become and endangered species.

Another endangered specie is the Mole it is endangered because habitats get smaller and smaller, and landowners tend to kill them. These two animals are very common animals in America and are considered pests. Yet in Germany they are on the endangered species list.

The endangered plant is cotton grass. It is endangered because of pollutants in ground. The cotton grass is endangered yet it continues to be unprotected.
